Two poker players from Los Angeles are suing five local casinos, protesting that their bad beat jackpot has “false advertising”. All the casinos did not let them play for the special jackpots without first paying a fee, and this is the contrary to the casinos’ advertising and California lottery law.
The names of the casinos are - The Bicycle Club, Hollywood Park, Commerce, Hawaiian Gardens, and Hustler - all based in Los Angeles.
In California Poker is a game of skill, but a bad beat jackpot may be another matter. The casino card rooms have advertised the jackpot as having “no purchase necessary” for a chance to win.
